The Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework (SCQF) unites all of Scotland's qualifications into one credit and qualification framework. SACCA provided strategic and operational guidance to help fulfil the opportunities presented by the implementation, application and ongoing development of the SCQF in the higher education sector in Scotland. SACCA also advised on productive ways to engage with similar credit and framework initiatives in the rest of the UK and, more widely, in the European arena, with specific reference to the ongoing extension of the Bologna process in higher education.

This work will now be taken forward by QAA Scotland and Universities Scotland.

SACCA was also involved in the self-certification of the higher education part of SCQF against the Bologna Qualification Framework.
